11 deaths in Valley; J&K toll 388

Eleven patients, all from Kashmir Valley, died due to Covid-19 during the past 24 hours, taking the toll in J&K to 388.

A total of 613 new cases were reported from J&K and 654 patients were recovered and discharged across the UT.

With the new cases, the corona count in J&K reached 20,972 — 16,383 in Kashmir and 4,589 in Jammu.

Despite restrictions, Srinagar district has recorded the highest cases across the UT for the past 15 days. On Saturday, 305 new cases were reported from Srinagar district only.

Twentythree cases were reported in Baramulla, followed by Pulwama (58), Kulgam (4), Shopian (16), Anantnag (12), Budgam (14), Kupwara (4), Bandipora (22), Ganderbal (10) , Jammu (52), Rajouri (21), Ramban (2), Kathua (8), Udhampur (12), Samba (5), Doda (19), Poonch (8), Reasi (10) and Kishtwar (8).

In Kashmir, Srinagar topped the list with 5,091 cases followed by Baramulla (1,924), Pulwama (1,538), Kulgam (1,508), Shopian (1,508), Anantnag (1,311), Kupwara (1098), Budgam (1291), Bandipora (755) and Ganderbal (421).

In the Jammu division, Jammu district had 1,122 cases followed by Rajouri (691), Ramban (537), Kathua (530), Udhampur (472), Samba (430), Doda (288), Poonch (218), Reasi (156) and Kishtwar (145).

Among 613 new positive cases, 64 were travellers. Out of the total 20,972 cases, 7,713 are active positive cases.

Out of the total 7,713 active positive cases, 1,962 are in the Jammu province and 5,751 in Kashmir Valley.
