Rajnath unveils General Rawat’s statue in Dehradun

New Delhi, February 12

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday unveiled a life-size statue of General Bipin Rawat, the country’s first Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), at Tons Bridge School in Dehradun. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was present at the event.

Rajnath termed General Rawat as a courageous soldier and good human being, who would always be an inspiration for future generations. The General had died in a helicopter crash near Coonoor in Tamil Nadu on December 8, 2021.
