Need to reassess threat perception, says Rajnath

In separate developments through the day, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh called for “re-assessing threat perceptions”, opened a new ship berthing jetty at Karwar and sailed at sea to witness simultaneous operations by Indian Navy aircraft carriers.

Rajnath, while speaking at the opening of new building of the Naval War College at Goa, said, “In view of increased movement of our adversaries in the Indian Ocean, it is necessary to re-assess our threat perception and accordingly re-balance military resources and strategic attention.”
