New Delhi, February 17

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday moved BJP’s political resolution “Viksit Bharat, Modi Guarantee: Ek Baar Phir Modi Sarkar” at the party’s National Council meeting, describing Narendra Modi as “Captain India” and the most bankable global leader.

Amid farmer protests for a legal MSP regime, Rajnath said Modi had “worked tirelessly for the cause of agriculture”.

The hall at Bharat Mandapam, where over 11,000 delegates were assembled, broke into thunderous applause when Rajnath, looking at PM (seated on the dais), said, “For the PM, farmers are no less than family. I have seen him greatly engage with the concerns of farmers and work to address those concerns”.
