Youth held by Kasauli police for molestation

The Kasauli police arrested a local youth Paras for molesting a five-year-old girl studying in Class I last evening. He was produced before a local court today which remanded him to police custody.

Paras, who stays in the neighbourhood of the victim, took her to his room on Sunday evening and molested her. When she did not turn up for half an hour, her mother called her after which the duo came out. The victim narrated how she was molested and was offered money to keep mum by Paras.

Paras fled from home and was arrested last evening.

A case under Section 376 AB of the IPC and Section 05 (M) of the POCSO Act was registered against him.
