Yoga at Nagrota Bagwan shelter home

Kangra: Yoga and legal classes have been introduced in a shelter home set up for migrants at Nagrota Bagwan. Shashi Pal Negi, SDM, Nagrota Bagwan, on Saturday said several steps had been taken to combat the pandemic. The temporary quarantine facility with 100 beds had been established at Govt Rajiv Gandhi Engineering College, Massal, where 22 persons were kept in temporary. Medical officers were examining the health status of the quarantined persons. OC

Govt ensuring supply of pesticides

Shimla: Shimla: In wake of curfew due to Covid-19 pandemic, the government was sensitive towards the concern of apple growers and ensuring that there was no dearth of pesticides, fertilisers and other plant protection materials, said Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. Officers of the Horticulture Department have been asked to ensure door-to-door or village-wise supply of pesticides and efforts were being made to ensure time-bound supply of bee colonies and anti-hail nets to horticulturists, he said. The supply of anti-hail nets from Gujarat is being expedited so that these could be made available to horticulturists in time and the government would also facilitate the supply of cylinders for anti-hail guns in government and private sectors. tns

Minister donates Rs 3 lakh to Covid fund

Kangra: Industries Minister Vikram Singh Thakur has contributed Rs1 lakh to the Prime Minister's Care Relief Fund, another Rs1 lakh to the CM Relief Fund and Rs50,000 to the District Kangra Relief Fund to combat Covid-19. He has also donated Rs50,000 to the Dehra SDM for relief material. Bikram lauded the efforts of administration officers and other employees in providing emergency services to people. He said on Saturday that all officers, including the Deputy Commissioner, and other employees and doctors, nurses, and anganwari workers were doing valuable service in fighting coronavirus. OC

Reporter booked for fake news

chamba: The police have booked a reporter for allegedly reporting a fake news stating that some people of Jassourgarh falling under Tissa police station in the district had attended the Tablighi Jamaat congregation in Delhi and one of them was in the Jassourgarh area at present, said SP Monika Bhutunguru here on Saturday. He added that the news created panic among people during the current time of crisis. A case had been registered . OC
