Hamirpur, October 16

The district administration today flagged off publicity vans from the Mini-Secretariat to spread awareness about coronavirus.

The campaign will be carried out by the Health and Family Welfare, Police, Social Welfare and Rural Development departments, along with Home Guard volunteers.

Deputy Commissioner Harikesh Meena said people would be educated on how to stay safe during the pandemic. Teams of the Health Department would screen people having cold, fever and cough. Testing kits would be provided to health workers, who would visit door-to-door to track suspected cases.

Meanwhile, Dr Archana Soni also flagged off publicity vans of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry. During the five-day campaign, people would be informed about the importance of social distancing and wearing mask. — OC
