Dharamsala, February 16

National spokesperson of AICC Ritu Chaudhary said that unemployment was at its peak in the country during the 10-year rule of the BJP government at the Centre. About 30 lakh posts were lying vacant in union government departments as the BJP government has not carried out recruitment in the last 10 years.

Addressing a press conference here today, she said the BJP government had claimed that it would double the income of farmers. However, the farmers in the country were out on roads for minimum support price (MSP) of their crops.

She said that women had to fight and protest to get justice against BJP leaders who allegedly misbehaved with them. The BJP government took no action against their leaders, who were accused by women of molesting them, she said while referring to the protest by female wrestlers of the country. She further said that country was ashamed when the wife of a Kargil War hero was paraded naked in Manipur and national leadership of party remained mum.

She welcomed the decision of the Supreme Court to term illegal the electoral bonds by political parties. BJP was the biggest gainer under the electoral bond policy. The party got over Rs 5,000 crore through anonymous electoral bonds. This was the money paid to party by corporate houses to get benefits, she alleged.
