Chamba, September 17

To give the much-needed fillip to tourism, Navneet Chowfla, a naturalist, has demanded to implement the ‘Ude Desh Ka Aam Naagrik’ scheme (UDAN) in Chamba. The scheme was formulated by the government in 2017.

Chowfla said the scheme would help revive tourism in the state, as well as recoup the economy hit by Covid-19. The scheme would boost water adventure and sports tourism in Chamera Lake, Pong Dam and Gobind Sagar reservoir of the Bhakra Dam, he said. “The schemewill benefit horticulture and floriculture in the hilly regions of Chamba,” he said — OC
