Two test positive for coronavirus in Kangra in preliminary tests; first case in Himachal

Two people tested positive for coronavirus in the preliminary tests in Kangra on Friday. A woman who had returned from Dubai and a man who returned from Singapore have become the first cases of Covid-19 in the hill state.  

Both are Himachal residents and have tested positive in the preliminary tests conducted at Tanda Medical College.

Deputy Commissioner, Kangra, Rakesh Prajapati when contacted admitted the two have tested positive in preliminary tests.

He said the blood samples of both the patients, who have quarantined in Tanda Medical College, have been sent to Pune for further testing.
