Chamba, February 17

In its endeavour to strengthen the tourism sector and highlight lesser-known tourist places, a technical team inspected the Madarani-Khajjiar paragliding take-off site and the Jot-Bangal landing site and conducted trials. The team, led by District Tourism Development Officer (DTDO) Rajiv Mishra, inspected the sites to check suitability under the HP Aero Sports Rules, 2022.

Providing insights, Mishra said adventurous sports activities were being promoted to enhance tourism activities in Chamba district. “Consequently, successful trials were conducted today by the technical team at both paragliding sites, confirming their suitability for takeoff and landing,” he said. This initiative is expected to bolster the tourism business in the district even further, he said.
