Streets waterlogged

Show comments

RAINS have exposed poor quality of work done by the Municipal Committee in Hamirpur. Many streets in the town are waterlogged, making it difficult for people to walk through them. The street connecting Roshan complex and Nadaun Chowk was recently repaired but still it gets waterlogged at several stretches. Similarly, the streets in Pratap Nagar and Krishna Nagar are in a bad shape. The civic body must look into it and fix the problem as soon as possible. — Rakesh Verma, Hamirpur

Water shortage a concern

wATER crisis at Shurad panchayat in Kullu district has become a cause for concern for area residents over the last few days. The source of potable water for the area has dried up. As a result, the residents of ward number 7 in this panchayat are facing an acute shortage of potable water supply. The Irrigation and Public Health Department should make alternative arrangements for water supply to the residents. — Arjun Das, Shurad panchayat (Kullu)

Is a civic issue bothering you? Are you agitated over the lack of concern? Is there something heartening that you feel needs to be highlighted? Or a picture which in your opinion ought to be seen by many, and not just you?
