Solan,November 1

The emergence of Covid cases among the staff of government schools in Sirmaur district has set alarm bells ringing in the district administration.

At least 10 cases have been reported from various schools in one week. Students of Classes IX to XII have been attending schools since October 12.

SDM, Paonta Sahib, LR Verma said two Covid cases had been detected from government schools in Paonta Sahib. Other cases were detected from other areas.

Once a case emerges in any school, the authorities have to adhere to all safety norms as any negligence can infect students. “Though I want my child to attend school, the detection of cases among the staff has created fear in my mind,” said a parent.

The detection of such cases has also worried the authorities as schools will be opened on a regular basis from tomorrow. — TNS
