Simon Weale is director of Shimla's Bishop Cotton School

Simon Weale, MA (Oxon), has been appointed as the new Director of Bishop Cotton School (BCS), Shimla, succeeding Roy Robinson, who retires after 15 years of service as the headmaster.

The appointment of Weale was announced after an extensive search by the Board of Governors together with an international recruitment consultancy. PK Samantaroy, Bishop CNI Diocese of Amritsar and Chairman of the BCS Board of Governors, said, “At BCS, we must maintain our incredible track record of producing young men who will make a positive difference to both India and the rest of the world.” Weale began his career as a history teacher and subsequently worked in some of the UK’s finest schools in a career spanning 30 years. His last post was as headmaster of Shebbear College, Devon. — TNS
