SFI gheraos HPU official

The SFI on Friday gheraoed the Dean of Studies as part of its protest against the decision of Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) to make admissions to PG courses on the basis of merit. The protesters said the students had been preparing for the entrance exams for the last several months. The decision to do away with the entrance tests this year was not acceptable. Meanwhile, the ABVP continued its protest against the issue and staged a demonstration outside the DC office.

Una college wins Quiz

The Una health department organised a district-level quiz competition on Covid-19, HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis at Government College, Una. The first prize was won by Government College, Una. The ITI-Una won the second prize while Himotkarsh Girls, ITI, secured the third spot. Chief Medical Officer Dr Raman Sharma gave away certificates to the winners.

Disaster risk mitigation workshop

A three-day online workshop on child-centred disaster risk mitigation was organised at Government Senior Secondary School, Pukhri, in Chamba. The aim was to raise awareness about the responsibilities for handling emergency humanitarian situations and reduce the impact of calamities through disaster management. The speakers discussed in detail how to deal with disasters.

Proud moment for montessorie school

Ashutosh Sharma, a former student of Montessorie Cambridge School, Raja Ka Bagh, has cleared the JEE (Advanced)-2020 with flying colours. On this proud moment, the school management and Principal Meghna Mahajan congratulated Ashutosh and wished him more success.
