THE poor drainage system at the DAV School in Jawahar Nagar on the Mandi-Pathankot highway has become a cause of concern for residents. The water from the faulty drainage often flows onto the road, making it prone to accidents. The authorities concerned should maintain a proper drainage system in the area to prevent a major mishap from occurring. Ishwar Das, Mandi 

Doctors on leave, patients in the lurch

PATIENTS have been facing a lot of inconvenience due to several doctors at the Zonal Hospital, Solan, going on leave. Patients have to wait for hours in long queues to get themselves examined — and despite the wait, many of them do not get to see a doctor. ‘On Leave’ stickers can be spotted on the doors of offices of many doctors.
