Online programme for law faculty

The Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla, is organising a six-day online faculty development programme on ‘Thematic Clinical Legal Education and Research’ till July 19. The programme was inaugurated on Monday by Chancellor L. Narayana Swamy, Chief Justice, High Court of Himachal Pradesh, and Vice Chancellor Nishtha Jaswal. Jaswal highlighted the need for clinical legal education. The Chancellor shared his experience about legal education and how it had been transformed from classroom teaching to clinical legal education, changing the pedagogy in the legal education system.

Aditya, Saksham shine at St Edwards

Aditya Kuthiala bagged the first position securing 96.8 per cent in the science stream in CBSE Class XII examination at St Edwards School, Shimla. Saksham Sood took the second position with 96 per cent marks, followed by Nandan Chadha with 95 per cent. In the commerce stream, Akshat Kumar Bharadwaj and Jyotiraditya Guleria topped with 90.6 per cent marks. At Shimla Presidency School, Ukrarsh Sharma topped in the non-medical stream with 88 per cent marks. Rahul Thakur with 78 per cent and Vaibhav Salaria with 75 per cent, stood second and third, respectively.

Kabir, Rahul toppers at Pinegrove

Kabir Singh Bedi topped the commerce stream with 97.4 per cent while Rahul Soni secured 96 per cent in the science stream in the CBSE Class XII examinations, at the Pinegrove School in Dharampur and Subathu. Rashi and Ajaypal Singh bagged the second position in the science stream by scoring 95.4 per cent, while Ashneet Kaur stood third with 95 per cent. In the commerce stream, Krishya Gaba stood second with 97.2 per cent marks, while Devaansh Maheshwari was third with 96.8 per cent marks.

Ananya, Kriti excel at DAV School

Ananya Nagpal secured 96.6 per cent marks to top the exam at the Rainbow International School, Nagrota Bagwan. Ashima Katoch with 96.4 per cent and Aryan with 96.2 per cent marks stood second and third, respectively. Kriti Pathania secured 95.40 per cent marks to emerge topper at the DAV Senior Secondary Public School, Rehan, in the CBSE Class XII exams. The second spot was taken by Sukriti with 92.20 per cent, while Ritika Chambial and Aditya Kumar shared the third spot with 90.2 per cent marks. Meanwhile, the Montessorie Cambridge School, Raja Ka Bagh, secured 100 per cent result.

Classroom management programme

At Army Public School, Dagshai, an online programme ‘Know your classroom management style’ was conducted by CBSE resourceperson Ravi Sharma. Over 50 teachers from the Centre of Excellence, CBSE, Panchkula, participated. “Teachers should be capable of switching to the best suited styles as per the need of the children,” said Sharma. “These styles can be characterised along with two dimensions- type of control exercised over students and degree of involvement of teachers with students. The extremes of these two dimensions allow teacher’s management to be readily identified.”
