Congress leaders today demanded one more RT-PCR machine to speed up coronavirus testing in the district.

Rajender Zar, president of the District Congress Committee, said that in the second wave, thousands of people had been infected in the district.

Kuldeep Pathania, former MLA, and Sunil Sharma, member of the AICC, said former HPCC president Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu got an RT-PCR machine installed in the medical college here but with the increase in the cases, one more machine should be installed.

They said that Anurag Thakur, Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs, should initiate the process in this direction. The medical college serves the residents of Bilaspur, Una and parts of Mandi and Kangra.
