 OTHER DIRECTIONS

  • CM Jai Ram Thakur has directed that each and every person entering the state should be medically examined and only then it should be decided whether he/she has to be kept under institutional quarantine or home quarantine.
  • He said institutional quarantine facilities must be created in such a way that people willing to pay for better facilities could be given the same on payment basis. It should also be ensured that these institutions were away from busy areas and had independent washrooms.

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today said intra-district movement had been allowed without passes while permits would be required for inter-district movement, except in the Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh area.

Thakur said people coming from red zones and showing influenza-like symptoms would be kept in institutional quarantine. At a video-conference with all state deputy commissioners, superintendents of police and chief medical officers, Thakur said as a large number of people would be coming from red zones, DMs must create sufficient facilities in their district to quarantine them.

He said it should be ensured that these institutions were away from busy areas and had independent washrooms. Proper sanitisation and hygiene at these institutions must also be ensured.

He said each and every person entering the state should be medically examined and only then it should be decided whether he/she had to be kept under institutional quarantine or home quarantine.

Thakur said a special train from Bengaluru would reach Una at 6 am on May 13 and another special train from Thivim/Margao/Karamali (Goa) would reach on May 15.

He directed the Una DC to make arrangements to ensure that there was no chaos and efforts be made to provide adequate work opportunities to the labourers to check their migration.

He said elaborate arrangements should be made for their medical examination and ensuring their further journey to the respective districts.

Thakur said intra-district movement must now be allowed without pass whereas inter-district movement should also be allowed but with permit, except in the Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh area.
