Mandi, June 21
Navneet Guleria, general secretary of Contractual Employees Union of State Health Committee NHM (National Health Mission), said that the contractual employees union will protest at the office of NHM Director in Shimla on June 23 if the authorities fail to submit the draft to the government to resolve their long-pending issues.
“For the last 23 years, the contractual employees engaged under the NHM in different health institutions across the state have been providing their services in health sector. But till now, their services have not been regularized by the government,” he said while addressing a press conference here today. “There are huge discrepancies in payment of salaries in contractual and regular staff in the health department. The contractual employees are getting meagre salaries as compared to regular employees,” he said.
He said NHM contractual employees will gather in Shimla on June 23 to show their solidarity over the issue.
