Many BJP leaders keen to join Congress: Pratibha Singh

HPCC president Pratibha Singh said in a statement today that many BJP leaders were eager to join the Congress, as they were feeling “suffocated” in their party.

Former Himachal BJP president Khimi Ram had joined the Congress in New Delhi yesterday in the presence of Rajiv Shukla, AICC in-charge for Himachal, and AICC secretaries Sudhir Sharma and Tejinder Bittu.

Pratibha, while welcoming Khimi Ram into the party, said that the Congress would be further strengthened with the former BJP president's joining the party. People are “fed up” with the policies and decisions of the BJP and the Congress was going to win the Assembly elections, she added.
