Shimla, August 7
One vehicle and a tractor were damaged and Chirgaon- Rohal Gushani road was blocked for vehicular traffic due to a landslide triggered by intermittent rain in Rohru subdivision in Shimla district. However, no casualty was reported.
Moderate to heavy rain occurred at isolated places in Mandi and Kangra districts. Gohar was wettest with 80 mm of rain followed by Palampur 67 mm, Bilaspur 63 mm, Berthin and Nagrota Suriyan 61 mm each, Baijnath 55 mm, Bijahi 48 mm, Manali 44 mm, Gaggal 41 mm, Pandoh 29 mm, Nahan 28 mm, Paonta and Dehra Gopipur 27 mm, Jogindernagar 26 mm, Kothi 20 mm, Dharamsala and Guler 17 mm and Karsog 15 mm.
As many as 41 roads were closed in the state due to rain-related incidents. As many as five transformers were damaged and nine water supply schemes disrupted. Keylong with 12 degree was coldest at night while Una was hottest during the day recording a high of 34.3 degree C.
