IAS probationers call on Guv

Shimla, November 23

A batch of five Indian Administrative Services (IAS) probationers, who have been allotted the Himachal Pradesh cadre, called on Governor Bandaru Dattatreya here today. These probationers are undergoing state-specific training at the HP Institute of Public Administration, Fairlawn, Shimla.

During the interaction, the Governor appealed to them to contribute to the reconstruction of the nation with dedication, honesty and patriotism. He advised them to be positive in life . He said that being an IAS officer is the biggest achievement of their life.

The Governor said that the state and Union Governments had implemented various schemes for the welfare of the poor and the downtrodden and it was their responsibility to enforce these programmes and policies in the right perspective so that the intended beneficiaries could get the benefit.

He said their attitude and approach towards their job was important as it would not only shape their own careers but also the future of the nation. The Governor advised them to enforce law properly and work with true spirit so that deprived citizens and poor were benefitted. He said the nation had expectations from them as they would hold major offices in future. He also shared life experience with the IAS probationers.

He wished them a successful and eventful tenure in the state. On this occasion, all probationers shared their educational qualifications and their experience so far in Himachal.

The Secretary to Governor, Rakesh Kanwar, the Joint Director, HP Institute of Public Administration, Jyoti Rana, and Associate Professor Dr Rakesh Sharma was also present on the occasion.
