HPU authorities warns eateries over prices

The Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) authorities here today warned shopkeepers on the university campus to not charge higher rates for eatables. They were warned of stern action if they failed to adhere to directions.

A committee of HPU that has been constituted to check the safety, quality and standards of food items being sold on the university campus, inspected the shops.

During the inspection, the committee members enquired about rate list and also checked the cleanliness. The committee also instructed the shopkeepers to not serve food items in the open.

Noticing that shopkeepers are not displaying rate lists, panel members directed them to display the rates at appropriate place.
