Kullu, July 11

Tourists from withing the state who want to come to Kullu and Manali can do so without a Covid-negative report in hand.

Kullu SP Gaurav Singh said as per directions of the government, people from within the state could move between districts without proof of hotel booking or Covid-negative report.

He said protocols would be framed for persons of other districts from within the state visiting relatives or friends here.

Though a few tourists from outside the state had arrived at the district borders after the state borders were opened for tourists recently, they were denied entry by the police due to lack of proper documents as per government guidelines. So far, there have been few visitors to various tourist spots of the district.

The police are keeping a record of those coming from outside the district in buses at the Bajaura check post on the border of Mandi and Kullu districts.

The SP said if any person travelling through buses is found to be Covid-positive, then passengers coming in contact with him would be easily accessible.
