Show comments

Solan, October 16

The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau, Himachal Pradesh, today issued a lookout notice for Hoshiarpur resident Ranjeet Singh Kang (44) wanted in cases of cheating and criminal conspiracy. Bureau’s Additional Director-General Anurag Garg said the two cases had been registered in Solan and Shimla in November 2019.

Kang would allegedly persuade buyers to purchase vehicles on loan from finance companies, promising that these would be rented out to private companies. Thereafter, he would fraudulently take these away, leaving the gullible buyers in the lurch.

While Kang is yet to be traced, his four accomplices have been arrested and eight vehicles recovered. — TNS
