Show comments

Solan: The Drugs Control Administration (DCA) will review product permissions given to all HP firms for certain drug formulations being “misused” as intoxicants. The move comes after two firms of Kala Amb and Paonta Sahib were booked for violations. A large amount of opioid drugs were diverted for use as intoxicants in Punjab. State Drugs Controller Navneet Marwaha said, “Nine manufacturers in Solan and one in Kala Amb are being inspected. Manufacturing has been stopped at two firms of Baddi and show-cause notices have been served on six others.” For interstate sale of drugs, manufacturers had been told to inform the local drugs inspector and the SP, he said.
