Himachal cop with NCB stabs three after group clash

Honorary Head Constable Mani Ram, deployed with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), allegedly stabbed three youths at Jagota village near Subathu after a group clash.

Parwanoo DSP Yogesh Rolta said the injured were taken to the Civil Hospital, Kunihar.

While Sukhdev (35) succumbed to his injuries, Sriram (30), who suffered stomach injuries, was referred to the IGMC, Shimla. The third youth, Kuldeep (18), suffered stab injuries on the legs and arms.

As per a preliminary investigation, the two groups had clashed at a marriage function two days ago. They encountered each other again late Saturday night.

One group attacked the other with knives. The police have arrested all three accused in the case. They have been booked under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code. A team of forensic experts visited the crime spot today. — TNS
