High Court restricts functioning from today

To take up only urgent cases via virtual mode

Taking into consideration the restrictions imposed by the state government from tomorrow onwards till May 16, the HP High Court has also decided to restrict its functioning.

As per the office order issued through Registrar General Virender Singh, only extreme urgent cases will be taken up through the virtual mode during the aforesaid period. One Division Bench and one Single Bench will assemble daily.

The order states that the staff of the Registry will work from home and remain available at their residence and will not be allowed to leave the station without the permission of the authorities. The leave/station leave will be granted only in exceptional circumstances. They staff may be called to the office at any time.

Similarly, only extreme urgent cases will be taken up by the District and Subordinate Court in the state in the aforesaid period.
