Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla today inaugurated the Dohkeshwar Dham in the Jhanduta Assembly constituency of Bilaspur district. He later participated in the consecration ceremony of 36 Hindu deities. The Governor’s wife Janaki Shukla accompanied him.

The Dohkeshwar Dham constructed within a short span of two years will help in promoting religious tourism and other economic activities. The Governor said it was a day for him to cherish as a devotee. He added that due to the construction of the Bhakra Dam, many ancient temples and a large portion of land was submerged in the waters of Gobind Sagar.
