Himachal Governor, CM greet people on Republic Day

Shimla, January 25

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu have felicitated the people of the state on the Republic Day eve and wished for their happy and prosperous future.

In his felicitation message, the Governor said Himachal had made unprecedented progress in all spheres and credit for this goes to the hardworking people of the state. “Our Constitution was our guiding force and as such the Republic Day is the festival for celebrating and promoting the unity of India,” he said.

Sukhu while extending his greetings to the people said it was a matter of pride for every Himachali that the state had emerged as a role model for rest of the country. He appealed the people of the state to contribute in making India a safer and developed nation.

“The state government will continue to work for the welfare and betterment of the people, especially the weak and downtrodden,” he said. He reiterated his commitment to making Himachal the most progressive state of the country.
