Girls outshine boys in Himachal Class 10 Board exam result

The pass percentage remains at 87.5 per cent

Girls dominated the top positions in the Class 10 result declared by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education here on Wednesday.

Priyanka from Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Tattapani, Mandi, and Devangi Sharma from Anglo-Sanskrit Model Senior Secondary School, Mandi, jointly topped securing 99 per cent marks (693/700).

The second position was bagged by Aditya Sankhyan from Saraswati Vidya Mandir High School, Hatwar in Bilaspur district, who secured 98.86 per cent marks (692/700).

The third position was jointly bagged by Anshul Thakur from Saraswati Vidya Mandir High School, Mohin, Mandi, and Siya Thakur from MML Public School, Jalgran in Una district, securing 98.71 per cent marks (691/700).

Education Board chairman SK Soni said the pass percentage in the result declared on Wednesday remained at 87.5 per cent.

A total of 90,375 students appeared in the HPSEB Class 10 examination this year of which 78,573 passed, he said.
