Film director and producer Vivek Agnihotri has been appointed the brand ambassador of the Integrated Muscular Dystrophy Rehabilitation Centre-Manav Mandir (IMDRC) at Kotho village in Solan district.

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla today congratulated Agnihotri on this. Through video-conferencing from Raj Bhavan, the Governor expressed satisfaction over treatment for muscular dystrophy being provided through physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, yoga, pranayam and other methods using modern machines at the centre. Patients suffering from muscular dystrophy were present at the Raj Bhavan.

He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had mentioned this centre in his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme. He expressed hope that with Agnihotri’s involvement, the centre would get wide publicity. He also appealed to people to come forward to serve humanity by joining the centre.

Agnihotri said that he was happy to be associated with Manav Mandir while performing a social role. He assured the Governor of contributing to the promotion of the centre.
