Covid cases top 16,000 in Himachal Pradesh

With seven deaths, the fatality figure touches 219 in the state

Shimla, October 5

A total of 182 new cases were reported today, taking the the tally to 16,033 and the fatality figure up to 219 as seven persons succumbed to the virus.

The seven deaths include two each in Mandi and Sirmaur and one each in Shimla, Bilaspur and Chamba. The highest number of 37 cases were reported in Kangra, 36 in Shimla, 23 in Chamba, 20 each in Sirmaur and Hamirpur, 16 in Bilaspur, 14 in Mandi, 11 in Una, three in Solan and one each in Kinnaur and Kullu.

The number of active cases in the state today was 3156 out of a total of 16,033 total positive cases.
