College lecturers meet Himachal CM

A delegation of college lecturers, led by RL Sharma, Secretary of the Joint Action Committee, met Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Wednesday and expressed their gratitude for implementing the recommendations of the Seventh UGC Pay Commission. Thakur said in the last four-and-half years, many steps had been taken for the welfare of the employees. The delegation also included the Joint Working Committee members JS Saklani, Nitin Vyas and others.

ABVP raises students' demands

The ABVP submitted a memorandum, mentioning various demands of the students, to the Principal of Government College, Kotshera. The demands included, extension of last date of admission and depositing fee for the second and the final year students, conducting the second and the final year classes regularly and providing better potable water facilities in the college..

Govt school holds Plantation drive

An event of patriotic group songs was organised by the Department of Music, Government College, Sanjauli, on Wednesday as part of the 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav' and 'Har Ghar Tiranga' programmes. Meanwhile, Government Senior Secondary School, Auhar, organised a plantation drive on its premises to prepare an Ayush garden.
