Solan, February 5

Desperate to find her sister Champo Devi, who is missing since the fire erupted at a Baddi factory on Friday, her brother Monu Sharma on Monday joined a team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) in the gutted factory building of NR Aromas at Jharmajri in Barotiwala. He was taken in a trolley by the team which conducted a search, but in vain.

Monu Sharma said Champo had joined this unit about two-and-a-half month ago and was residing at Baddi since the last seven to eight years. Her husband works at a pharmaceutical unit.

“The family was awaiting her return to celebrate the birthday of her son for which all preparations had been made when his brother-in-law received a call from the co-workers about the mishap. I, too, rushed to Baddi from my native village after seeing the news of the horrific incident on social media and reached here yesterday,” Monu added.

He said despite frantically looking for his sister he was unable to locate her and the family was in a state of major depression with the small kids asking for their mother time and again.
