Himachal Pradesh Youth Congress Pradesh President Nigam Bhandari alleged that the BJP-led Union Government was misusing probe agencies such as the Enforcement Directorate and Central Bureau of Investigation to crush political opponents.

Bhandari said while Congress relies on its workers to win the elections, BJP was trying to achieve the same with the help of the ED, CBI, Election Commission, Income Tax Department, and corporates like the Adani Group.

The Modi-led government deceived the country’s youth by implementing the Agniveer scheme in the Army, the Youth Congress leader stated.

He said the Union Government was trying to establish corporate culture in the armed forces by retiring 75 per cent of the youth after four years of service.

Talking about BJP’s national president JP Nadda’s Kangra rally, Bhandari questioned why Nadda seemed to remember his home state only during the elections.

He also questioned state BJP leaders seemingly keeping mum on the difficulties faced by people of Himachal. “These leaders have failed to bring any financial aid to compensate for the loss caused by the monsoon disasters,” he said.

Bhandari criticised Member of Parliament (Kangra-Chamba) Kishan Kapoor, stating that he distanced himself from his constituents after winning the election.
