BJP misusing ED to target Gandhis: Congress

District Congress president Rajinder Zar said today that the BJP was misusing the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to target political rivals, particularly party president Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. The party organised a protest at the Deputy Commissioner’s office here against Sonia Gandhi’s questioning by the ED.

Zar said the country would soon become aware about the dictatorial attitude of BJP leaders. Kuldeep Pathania, a former MLA, said that court had closed the National Herald case but the ED reopened it on the direction of BJP leaders. The Congress workers would continue to protest against the “unlawful actions” of the ED, he added.

Hamirpur block Congress president Suresh Patial, party’s Kisan Cell president Ajay Sharm and SC Cell president Hoshiyar Singh took part in the protest.
