Many tourists throw eatables out of their vehicles to monkeys on the Dhalli-Kufri stretch. Due to this, the number of monkeys on the roadside is increasing day by day. The visitors should desist from doing this, as it causes problems for the local population. — Surender Thakur, Dhalli

Drainage water spilling on road

The water spilling from the drainage system near the Mandi bus stand on the Chandigarh-Manali highway, has become a cause for concern. It is emitting foul smell and posing a serious health hazard to the commuters. The National Highways Authority of India should undertake the maintenance work of the drainage system to check seepage of water. — Rajesh Kumar, Mandi
