Asanas performed at Atal Tunnel

As many as 500 people participated in a Yoga Day event held at the north portal of the Atal Tunnel on Monday. The event was organised at a height of 10,500 feet amid minus 3°C. Union Minister of State for Sports Nisith Pramanik said, “Yoga is a holistic approach to health and wellness. It balances our mind, body and soul.”

At Killar in the Pangi valley of Chamba district, around 500 people participated in a yoga camp. Pangi Residential Commissioner Ajay Kumar Yadav was the chief guest of the camp.

In Shimla, state BJP president Suresh Kashyap performed asanas with children, police personnel and residents of Junga in the Kasumpti Vidhan Sabha constituency.

Kashyap said that yoga was performed at 497 places in Himachal. Yoga today is being practised at the international level.
