As a Sanatani, it’s my duty to attend Ayodhya event: Himachal minister Vikramaditya Singh

While reiterating that attending the consecration of the Ram temple at Ayodhya was not a political issue, Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh said his father and former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh remained a supporter of the Ram movement till his last breath.

Grateful to VHP for this honour

My father was a supporter of the Ram movement till his last breath. He always worked towards protecting the Dev Samaj and activities associated with it. I am grateful to the RSS and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad who have given this honour to me and my family Vikramaditya Singh, pwd minister

“Being a Sanatani and a Hindu, who has faith in Dev Samaj, I consider this my duty and responsibility to remain present at Ayodhya on this historic day. This is not a political issue but a matter of religion for me and my family,” he said. He added that his father has also made monetary contribution from his personal account for this cause.

“My father till his last breath was a supporter of the Ram movement. He always worked towards protecting the Dev Samaj and activities associated with it,” elaborated. Vikramaditya has taken a stand in sharp contrast to the Congress party’s stand.

“I consider myself fortunate that I am one of the few people in Himachal who have been invited to be witness this historic event where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be present,” said Vikramaditya Singh. He said people of Himachal have immense faith and belief in deities.

“I am grateful to RSS and Vishwa Hindu Parishad who have given this honour to me and my family,” he added.
