The SFI has alleged that the claims made by the HPU administration regarding the preparation for conducting the exams turned out to be a flop on the very first day. Substantiating its allegations, the SFI said the thermal scanner being used to check the temperature of the students before entering the examination hall soon went out of order. The students' body claimed that the employees reached the university late, leading to crowding at the centre. Also, the buses arranged for ferrying the students to the university were inadequate.

Parents forum want regulation of fee

The Students Parents Forum has demanded that the government should pass a law to regulate fee, syllabus and subjects in private educational institutions during the ongoing Vidhan Sabha session. To press their demands such as checking irrational fee hike and keeping the tuition fee not more than 50 per cent of the total fee, the forum has decided to hold a protest outside the Vidhan Sabha on September 17. The forum alleged that though private schools were "looting the public", the government was not taking any action. The forum alleged that the Education Department had submitted a proposal to the government a year ago to check the arbitrariness of private schools, but the government was deliberately not tabling it in the Vidhan Sabha.
