7 DCs shifted in Himachal Pradesh

In a major administrative re-shuffle, the government ordered the transfer of 21 IAS officers, including DCs of seven districts, late last night ahead of the panchayat elections due later this year.

DCs of Kangra, Mandi, Solan, Sirmaur and Kullu have not been shifted.

Aditya Negi, Member Secretary, HP Pollution Control Board, has been appointed DC, Shimla, replacing Amit Kashyap who has been posted as Labour Commissioner-cum-Director Employment. Rajeshwar Goel, DC, Bilaspur, has been posted as MD, HPMC, replacing Debasweta Banik, who has been posted as DC, Hamirpur. Banik replaces Harikesh Meena who has been posted as Director Energy in place of Manasi Sahay Thakur who has been posted as MD, HP Civil Services Corporation.

Raghav Sharma, MD, HP Backward Classes Finance Development Corporation, Kangra has been posted as DC Una in place of Sandeep Kumar, who has been posted as Director (Personnel) HPSEB. Hemraj Bairwa, Special Secretary Power has been posted as DC, Kinnaur.

Rohit Jamwal, Director, Town and Country Planning, has been posted as DC Bilaspur. Duni Chand Rana, Director, Environment, Science and Technology, has been posted as DC, Chamba, replacing Vivek Bhatia who has been posted as Director, Empowerment of SCs, OBCs and Specially Abled. Pankaj Rai, Shimla MC, has been posted as DC, Lahaul Spiti in place of Kamal Kant Saroch who has been posted as Director, TCP.

Nipun Jindal, Special Secretary (Health) has been posted as Member Secretary, Pollution Control Board. He will continue to hold the charge of Mission Director, National Health Mission.

Anupam Kashyap, Executive Director, HRTC has been posted as Special Secretary (Tourism and Civil Aviation ) with Additional charge of Language, Art and Culture. Ashwani Sharma, Executive Director (HPSEB) has been posted as Special Secretary, Health.— TNS
