6 more found infected, Kangra teen tests +ve

Six fresh cases of Covid-19 were reported in the state, taking the tally to 58.

A 19-year-old girl, who tested positive at the Tanda medical college today, is the primary contact of a corona patient in Kangra while the other two are drivers who had been kept under quarantine at the PWD rest house at Naina Devi in Bilaspur district.

The girl belongs to Jeer Balla village in Kangra. Her brother, an employee with Delhi a company, had returned home on April 28 and tested positive on May 8.

This is the first case in Kangra district, wherein one of the primary contacts of the positive case has been found infected.

The drivers, who had tested positive, were going to Mandi and Baijnath when they were quarantined at the PWD rest house at Naina Devi in Bilaspur. One of them had come from Ahmedabad with five persons. His vehicle was stopped at the Swarghat border of Bilaspur and all occupants were quarantined. The driver, who hails from Gujarat, tested positive. All other five occupants of the vehicle are residents of the Baijnath.

The second vehicle that came from Gurugram had four persons aboard, including the driver. The driver, who hails from Mandi, has been found positive.

Three cases in Salooni

Three more persons have tested positive in Salooni area of Chamba district. With this total tally of corona infected persons in the state has risen to 58. These three had partied with one corona positive patient from Salooni area, a truck driver who had come back to district on April 30 from Baddi area.

Health authorities had taken the samples of these three people as per the information provided Corona positive patient. The truck driver had tested positive on May 8.
