596 new cases, 13 deaths in Himachal Pradesh

Shimla, June 8

As many as 596 Covid cases were registered in the state today, taking the tally to 196,351. Besides, 13 persons died of the virus — three each in Shimla, Hamirpur and Kangra and two each in Solan and Chamba.

The highest number of 144 cases was reported in Kangra, followed by 105 in Mandi, 60 in Shimla, 53 in Chamba, 52 in Una, 51 in Kullu, 42 in Solan, 38 in Hamirpur, 18 in Bilaspur, 16 in Sirmaur, 11 in Lahaul and Spiti and six in Kinnaur. — TNS
