219 Covid cases, 2 deaths in Himachal

Shimla, October 16

With 219 new cases being reported today, the tally of Covid cases in the state rose to 18,522, while the fatality figure went up to 257 as two persons succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours.

Two Covid patients died in Kangra and Hamirpur. The highest number of 43 cases were reported in Mandi, 42 in Shimla, 26 in Kullu, 24 each in Bilaspur and Kinnaur, 18 in Kangra, 14 in Chamba, nine in Sirmaur, eight in Hamirpur, seven in Solan, three in Una and one in Lahaul and Spiti district.

The number of active cases stood at 2,642. Meanwhile, 18 persons tested positive for Covd in Kangra.
