161 new Covid cases in Himachal, six deaths

Shimla, September 9

As many as 161 were reported in the state today, taking the tally to 215,235. Besides, six persons died of the virus—two each in Mandi and Shimla and one each in Bilaspur and Kangra.

The maximum 31 cases were reported in Kangra, followed by 28 in Mandi, 22 in Bilaspur, 21 in Hamirpur, 20 in Shimla, 15 in Chamba, eight in Kullu, five each in Solan and Una, four in Kinnaur and two in Lahaul and Spiti. No case was reported in Sirmaur.

The number of active cases rose to 1,719 while the number of total deaths rose to 3,612.
