14 more test positive for COVID-19 in Chamba; six in Kangra

From Chamba, all positive cases were reported from Dharog locality in the town

As many as 14 more tested positive for COVID-19 in Chamba district and six in Kangra district on Tuesday, taking the total number of cases in Chamba district to 230 and 539 in Kangra.

The number of active cases in Chamba and Kangra is 137 and 95, respectively.

From Chamba, all positive cases were reported from Dharog locality in the town.

In the past week, about 80 residents of the locality have tested positive. All of them were primary and secondary contacts of already COVID-19 positive patients. The locality has been marked a containment zone.

In Kangra, the eight persons who tested positive include a 70-year-old man and his eight-year-old granddaughter — both residents of Panzara village in Nurpur and are primary contacts of already positive patient; 40-year-old man resident of Bhadwal village, near Kangra, and has a travel history from West Bengal; 58-year-old man and 51-year-old woman — both residents of Lag Badhana village, near Dehra, and primary contacts of already positive case; and a 32-year-old man of Naleti village, near Dehra, with travel history from Baddi.
