Shimla: Rs 14 lakh for repair of Shiv Bawdi road

SHIMLA, February 14

The Shimla Municipal Corporation (SMC) will repair Shiv Bawdi link road in Summer Hill area of the state capital that was damaged due to massive landslide in the monsoon season last year. For this, the corporation is allocating a budget of Rs 14 lakh.

Around 20 people were killed in the incident. The road is non-functional for the past few months due to which the locals have to face lot of inconvenience. Recently, Mayor Surinder Chauhan chaired a meeting with the officials of Finance, Contract and Planning Committee during which the corporation gave its nod to repair the damaged road.

Chauhan said the road was extensively damaged during the natural disaster in the monsoon season last year. He said the MC will also repair all the damaged roads.
