11 employees of Dharamsala MC test positive for coronavirus

Dharamsala, November 17

Eleven employees of Dharamsala Municipal Corporation on Tuesday tested positive for coronavirus.

The authorities here said the offices of Dharamsala municipal corporation would remain closed for the next two days and would be sanitised before they are opened for public.

The 11 employees, including some senior officers of the corporation, have been advised home isolation for the next one week. This would severely affect working of the organisation that is reeling under acute shortage of staff.

Kangra district has been witnessing resurge of coronavirus infection for past about one week. Today 41 people were tested positive for the infection in the district and one person died due to pandemic taking total number of infections to 3,978, including 648 active cases and 88 dead.
